Introduction

The servers and applications are hosted by Schnapps GmbH in Switzerland. We pay attention to our independence from others. Our servers are located in our own data centers in a Swiss cloud and are independent of major providers such as (AWS, Azure, Alphabet, etc.).

We are aware that data protection is extremely important for all visitors to our website. We do not pass on any individual information to third parties without your consent.

These guidelines were originally drawn up in the German language in Switzerland. In the event of a conflict over a translated version of these guidelines, the German version shall prevail.

Our website occasionally offers content such as embedded videos (behind a click-through wall). When you activate this external embedded content, connections are only made to these services to retrieve the data, but no cookies are stored in the visitor's browser. We do not share any of your data with the parties behind it. However, they may collect their own information if you watch a video. We are always looking for ways to reduce data sharing.

Our guidelines

Our Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how Schnapps handles <Personally Identifiable Information> (hereinafter referred to as PII). PII is information that can be used alone or with other information to identify an individual or to identify an individual in context. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle any personally identifiable information.

What personal data can we collect from visitors to our website or our applications?

Like most websites, Schnapps.tech collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available. This includes, for example, the browser type, preferred language, referring website and the date and time of each visitor request. We collect non-personally identifiable information to better understand how visitors use our website. From time to time, Schnapps may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate. For example, by publishing a report on trends in the use of its applications. Schnapps may store some of the user's PII if the user enters it himself and leaves it in specific forms.

Schnapps also collects potential PII such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. However, we do not use this information to identify our visitors and do not share this information with third parties unless we are required to do so by law.

When you register on our website or fill out a form, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, phone number or other details. See below what happens to this data.

When do we collect information?

On our websites in general:

We collect data from you when you fill out a form or enter information on our website.

Schnapps applications in conjunction with Partner:

Our apps only communicate with partner servers known to you. These are servers and data that have been approved by you in connection with an app. We do not send any personal data to partners unknown to you. We avoid storing PII that we can request from partners in order to use the app.

Schnapps may receive data from partner servers that is necessary to fulfill the service you have requested. The partner as provider is responsible for informing you about the use of this data, including the transfer to Schnapps.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, sign up for our App, request or respond to FAQs, browse the Website or use certain other features of the Website as follows:

  • To improve our website so that we can serve you better.
  • To send e-mails about your request or about products and services.

How do we protect our visitors' data?

  • We carry out regular malware scans.
  • Your data is stored behind secure networks and is only accessible to a limited number of people who have special access rights to these systems and are obliged to treat the data confidentially. In addition, all sensitive information that you provide to us is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
  • We implement a number of security measures when a user places an order and enters, submits or retrieves their data to ensure the security of your personal information.

Are "cookies" used?

Yes, cookies are small files that a website or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the website's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. Cookies help us to understand your preferences based on website activity so that we can provide you with our best services. We also use cookies to collect aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can provide better site experiences and tools in the future.

Why do we use cookies?

When you visit the website, technically necessary session cookies are automatically set. These session cookies are necessary and are used solely for the functions and operation of a website. Cookies can help us to summarize data about website traffic and interactions on the website in order to provide better website experiences and tools in the future.

We do not use third party services (such as Google Analytics) that track this information on our behalf. If you disable all cookies, some features may be disabled.

Is it passed on to third parties?

We will not sell, exchange or otherwise pass on your personal data to third parties.

This does not apply to partners and their parties that have been selected by you. These are usually the partners who are necessary for the maintenance of your app.

We may also release information when release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others' rights, property, or safety.

Non-personally identifiable visitor data may be passed on to our departments for marketing, advertising or other purposes. For example, aggregated statistics (number of website visitors in a particular month) or trends ("we are seeing an increase in visitor numbers from Asia") are conceivable.

How does our website deal with "Do not track" signals?

We honor Do Not Track signals and do not track, set cookies or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is enabled.
